About RDA
Inner-Karst Region RDA, d.o.o., is a non-profitmaking organization, established in 2000, which, in accordance with the Balanced Regional Development Act, performs the functions of a regional development agency in the municipalities of Bloke, Cerknica, Logatec, Loška dolina, Ilirska Bistrica, Pivka and Postojna.
We represent an operating structure which offers development, organizational and technical and professional support for the development of the region through the following services:
- creating, implementing and monitoring projects,
- training the public and private sectors on how to successfully access national and European funding,
- co-ordination between all the subjects responsible for regional development,
- consulting and education,
- information, communication and regional promotion.
The IKR RDA does its work through projects and obtains funds for its operations in the market as well. For this purpose, it performs the following tasks:
- it provides services in the area of the creation and implementation of projects and regional structural policies;
- it accelerates local and regional economic, social, spatial and environmental development;
- it provides advice and promotes the development of small businesses;
- it manages the scholarship scheme for the Inner-Karst region;
- it provides advice on innovation and technological development;
- it creates, co-ordinates and monitors the implementation of the regional development programme;
- it implements training programmes;
- it performs other regional development activities.
The RDA also provides other business services.
As the co-ordinator of regional interest at the local and national levels, the RDA represents a permanent partner in dialogues between ministries, government organisations, municipalities, companies and other national and regional institutions. It has acted on numerous occasions as a partner in international projects (e.g. within the INTERREG III A, INTERREG III B and MEDITERAN programmes), in which it had the role of a lead partner. As a regional institution which, among other things, promotes the principles of sustainable development, it is orientated towards the promotion and implementation of transnational and interregional projects and projects for cross-border co-operation, with a special emphasis on environmental protection.
